Seton Northwest ICU Recognition – On Monday, April 1, 2013, Martha’s long-time service to Seton, and especially to the Seton Northwest ICU, was recognized at a ceremony at Seton Northwest. At this recognition, well-attended by family, friends, and colleagues, a plaque was unveiled honoring Martha with the inscription:

GAAC-AACN Award 04/2013
On Tuesday, April 2, 2013, the Austin chapter of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses ("AACN") awarded a scholarship in Martha's memory to a local nurse attending the AACN's National Teaching Institute ("NTI").The recipient, Hillary Young, works at St. David's Round Rock as an ICU nurse. The local chapter plans to make this an annual award to honor Martha, who served as its Treasurer for many years.

Martha C. Gooding Foundation For Compassionate Nursing
The IRS issued a determination letter dated August 11, 2013, finding that the Martha C. Gooding Foundation for
Compassionate Nursing is a fully-tax-exempt 501(c) (3) public charity, effective as of its formation date with the
Texas Secretary of State, October 19, 2012.
This IRS determination letter confirms that all donations and contributions made to the Foundation are deductible for Federal income tax purposes. A copy of the IRS letter is available here:

Five nursing students have been awarded scholarships from the Martha C. Gooding Foundation For Compassionate Nursing for the 2013 - 2014 academic year. They will be honored at a dinner September 23 at Great Hills Country Club in Austin.
The three recipients from the University of Texas at Austin School of Nursing are:

The Foundation Board is very excited to be able to provide financial assistance to these fine nursing students, and we look forward to honoring them at our September 23 dinner!
5 Nursing Students Receive Foundation Scholarships
Fundraiser A Big Success!
Our September 23 fundraising event at Great Hills Country Club exceeded all expectations for an inaugural event, as we raised $17,200
(after expenses) for the Foundation!!
Much thanks to all of our sponsors, participants, auction donors, and many volunteers!
We
had a perfect day for the golf tournament, followed by a nice dinner honoring our initial scholarship recipients and a successful
silent auction. Again, a sincere thank you to everyone involved!
